UPDATE: Murder-Suicide leaves Sacramento Residents Stunned

Officers responded to a call from Jade Tree Circle, near Truxel Road in Natomas. When police arrived, they found a man and a woman dead in the home with gunshot wounds, and the man’s wound appeared to be self-inflicted.

Friends of the couple have identified them as Ron Coursey, 49, and Alyssa Coursey, 35.

Investigators learned the couple had been together long-term, but recently broke up. Ron Coursey entered his house where he had been living with his estranged wife. After some time, he shot her and then turned the gun on himself. Five family members, including two children, were in the house at the time of the incident. None of them were injured.
