Family of 4 Taken to Hospital after Crash in Stockton

STOCKTON—

Police in Stockton are saying that a total of five people had to be sent to the hospital after a late-Sunday morning car crash.

According to a release from Stockton Police, the crash happened at the intersection of E. First and California Streets just before 11 a.m. A black BMW was driving north along California Street when a white Honda pulled into the intersection and was hit.

Inside the Honda was a family of four, including two children aged 1 and 3. All four were taken to the hospital for treatment, with the 3-year-old air lifted to the UC Davis Medical Center.

Police note that the four are in stable but serious condition.

The driver of the BMW also had to be taken to the hospital. The BMW driver is in stable condition.

Police have not said if drugs or alcohol look to be a factor in the crash.
