SACRAMENTO COUNTY—
Tears of pain and grief that can’t be explained, Destiny Lugo won’t be able to pick up the phone and call her dad Colen. So for now, she writes messages and poems.
“I miss my dad and I miss him so much and those are words I didn`t get to say to him,” Destiny said.
Reams of caution tape covered the scene earlier this month where the father of nine was killed. Sacramento County Sheriff`s investigators say it was a drug deal that turned ugly.
“That’s not the kind of man he was, he came here to meet my brother in the moving truck,” Destiny said.
The moving truck was on the scene in Caymus Park, but police also said there was a large amount of drugs discovered too.
“He was changing … that wasn’t the case,” Destiny said.
After news broke that her father had a troubling past, Destiny came to the defense of her father and says he was at the wrong place at the wrong time when he was murdered.
And now justice should be served for her and her sisters and brothers.
“To see him not here … I don’t have that anymore.”
