SAN DIEGO – Food trucks in San Diego County began receiving letter grades with similar standards as local restaurants.
San Diego County Supervisor Ron Roberts handed out the first decals Tuesday morning.
“We want our people to concentrate not on whether to order, but on what to order,” Supervisor Roberts said. “We want to take that question out of their minds so they can feel confident.”Thanks to the county, business may heat up for Rich Huarte, who serves up traditional deli style favorites in his “New York on Rye” gourmet food truck.Even though he’s a stickler when it comes to cleanliness, he just can’t reach some older diners.
