SACRAMENTO — Twin Rivers School District’s alarm went off at Foothill High School around 3:10 a.m. Tuesday morning.

A man was found running along the south side of the school and a nearby deputy was able to chase that man.

During the pursuit, the suspect dropped a jacket, a laptop and a few other items. He was later caught on the north side of the school.

There is also a white car parked in front of the school with its trunk open. Deputies are still trying to determine if that car is connected to the suspect.

The suspect has been arrested and authorities say they do not believe there is any immediate threat to the neighboring area.
