Heavy Rain Causes Rough Morning Commute


Heavy rain and slick roadways have contributed to multiple car accidents in Sacramento County on Wednesday morning.

All morning long, the slick roadways have been a huge hazard for drivers on Wednesday.

Around 2 a.m. in Elk Grove, a driver of a big rig lost control and went off road on southbound I-5 by Twin Cities Road. The driver was not injured.

In Sacramento, a two car accident occurred around 4a.m. off Elder Creek Road and Stockton Boulevard.
One person was taken to hospital.

Later in the morning around 5:30a.m., a large tree branch fell in the road off westbound I-80 near Jefferson Boulevard. The branch blocked the right lane, and slowed down traffic.
