RIO LINDA—
Rio Linda High School’s track coach has died after reportedly being in a horrific bike accident.
Marion Adams was said to have been riding his bike after school Monday when he crashed.
A woman passing by saw Adams, who was impaled by part of the fence. She tried desperately to save Adams – calling 911, talking to him, and flagging other people down.
Adams was soon rushed to the hospital and went into surgery. However, Adams succumbed to his injuries early Tuesday morning.
Not only was Adams Rio Linda’s track coach, he also taught radio broadcasting.
Alisa Becerra and Cecilio Padilla filed this report.
