A property owner will have to deliver bad news to a car repair businessman whose lot caught fire Monday morning.

The property owner told FOX40 he was looking at surveillance cameras to see if it captured anything that may lead investigators to a cause.

Officers got calls around 2:30 a.m. about the facility being on fire, near Duluth and Harbor

Boulevard in West Sacramento.

Responding crews found a shipping container, about ten vehicles, and a boat on fire with flames shooting about 30 feet into the air.

Firefighters were able to get access through a locked fence and extinguish the blaze. And within minutes they were able to get it out completely. Luckily no one was injured.

The property owner told FOX40 this is not the first fire at this lot. Since he’s purchased the property, there have been three. The first was the day after he bought it; a lightning strike started a fire.

The cause of Monday’s fire is unknown at this time. Arson investigators are looking through the rubble.
