SACRAMENTO — Jesuit and Rio Americano high schools were placed on lockdown due to a shooting threat posted to social media Tuesday.

Investigators believe the threat was made by a former student, according to Sacramento County Sheriff’s Sgt. Tess Deterding.

Deterding said later Tuesday that a juvenile was detained and investigators did not believe anyone else was outstanding.

The lockdowns lasted roughly an hour or so.
