The Lakers fans who found themselves being moved out of the owner’s seats during Saturday’s Kings game got quite a deal in exchange for their cooperation.
One of the fans, Josh Thomas, says the tickets they had were not fake.
“We were just trying to watch our team play,” said Thomas.
Kings fans erupted on Twitter after a photo circulated of four Lakers fans sitting in the Maloof’s seats.
The Kings clarified Sunday that the Maloof’s did not give their tickets to the Lakers fans. A spokesperson for the Kings says the Maloofs do not expect comp tickets to be passed off or sold on the internet. Tickets are void when transferred, according to the Kings.
In the interest of appeasing everyone, the Lakers fans were offered seats behind players like Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash. The have also been given prime seats to Friday’s game.
