13-Year-Old Found with Gun, Box Cutter on Campus

NEWMAN —

A 13-year-old student was arrested after he was found with a gun and box cutter on campus, police said.

Officers responded to Yolo Middle School after they received reports of a student with a firearm. When officers arrived, the teen was in custody of school officials and they had possession of the gun.

The teen boy also had a box cutter.

Another student saw the weapons and told school officials.

The 13-year-old boy was booked into Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall on numerous charges related to possessing weapons on a school campus.
