STOCKTON -- A 16-year-old boy has died following a shooting in Stockton on Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The shooting happened near Dallas and Connecticut avenues about 4:20 p.m.

The 16-year-old was transported to an area hospital where he later died. Another 16-year-old boy was also injured in the shooting. His injuries are considered non-life threatening, according to Stockton police.

No suspect information has been released.

Homicide detectives are investigating the scene.
