Four people are under arrest accused of pimping young women in brothels around Northern California.
After a five-month investigation, the Attorney General’s office learned the organized prostitution ring was trafficking women from Boston and New York to brothels in residential areas of Sacramento and San Mateo counties.
Thursday night, agents with the California Department of Justice, Sacramento Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation served warrants at multiple locations in Sacramento and San Mateo counties.
Four people who were allegedly running the brothels were charged with pimping or pandering; Xiu Juan Bai, 43, Ken Wong, 58, and Yoon Chin, 55, are from Sacramento County, and Zhi Liu, 49 was arrested in San Mateo County.
