A fire broke out Tuesday morning at an apartment complex near Watt and Whitney Avenue, and firefighters believe it’s suspicious.
The blaze was contained to one third-floor apartment unit. One firefighter had a minor injury.
The whole third floor of the building was empty for a remodel, according to Metro Fire. The damage to the empty model’s carpet, walls and cabinets is estimated to be about $15,000.
Arson investigators deemed the fire suspicious, and hope anyone with information about it will call their tip line at (916) 859-3775.
