Assemblymember discusses deadly US Capitol incident

Local News

Assemblyman James Ramos, D-Highland, joined FOX40 Friday to discuss the new Native American Caucus that he helped create at the California Capitol.

Just before his discussion with Sonseeahray, news broke of a car that rammed into two police officers outside a U.S. Capitol barricade.

One officer died, according to officials. The driver of the car was shot and killed by authorities.

News of this incident comes as the U.S. Capitol continues to navigate the aftermath of the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Sonseeahray spoke to Ramos about the latest developments and safety at the California Capitol.
