AUBURN — Dingus McGee’s, on Musso Road in Auburn, had around $3,000 in meat and a small all-terrain vehicle stolen last week, Sheriff’s investigators said.

Detectives say restaurant staff arrived to work on May 5 to find the freezer lock was broken and the meat was missing. An ATV parked near the storage building was also believed to be hot wired and driven away.

The ATV was described as a green 2016 Polaris Ranger. Investigators believe the thieves loaded the meat onto the ATV and drove away along the train tracks that run behind Dingus McGee’s.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
