NORTH LAKE TAHOE–

An avalanche pushed a bus into a home near the Alpine Meadows ski resort Thursday, the North Tahoe Fire Protection District confirmed.

District spokesperson Ron Carson told FOX40 that four people were on the bus, and none was hurt. The force of the avalanche pushed the bus about 30 feet to a garage.

Alpine Meadows was closed Thursday, as a safety precaution. Squaw Valley kept five lifts open.
