SACRAMENTO — Firefighters arrived on the banks of the Sacramento River Saturday to respond to a fire that had started on a boat.

The flames burned through the ropes mooring the boat to the Miller Park marina, causing it to float down the river.

Philip Emanuelle filmed the Sacramento Fire Department arriving on scene just after 2 p.m. The video shows firefighters standing on the shore to hose down the flames.

Crews successfully put out the fire and secured the boat back at its launch area for the owner to remove.
