A desperate plea from a bride-to-be.

“I don’t care who you are. Just turn yourself in please,” Sabrina Dennis said with tears. “Our wedding was this weekend. And now that’s not gonna happen.”

Sabrina’s loved one, Steven Dennis, was found unconscious and laying on the side of Carriage Drive in Citrus Heights about 3 a.m. Sunday.

He was coming home from his bachelor party when he was apparently struck by a vehicle.

Instead of exchanging nuptials Saturday, Dennis remains in Mercy San Juan Hospital’s ICU with critical injuries.

“His injury is indicitive of a vehicle pedestrian collision,” Officer Anthony Boehle of the Citrus Heights Police said.

“He doesn’t remember anything that happened,” Sabrina said.

And police are at a loss without any witnesses or even debris to give them some clue as to what exactly happened.

“Please, male of female, you did something wrong … you need to tell somebody and tell the truth,” Sabrina said.

“We really are lookinjg for the public’s help,” Boehle said.

It could be the driver is unaware that he or she struck a pedestrian.

“I understand that people are scared, and I understand that people panic,” Boehle said. “Give us an opportunity… to figure out what we got.”

“He’s a great guy, and he didn’t not deserve this,” Sabrina said.
