The Curtis Park neighborhood in Sacramento has just been named the sixth hottest community to live in in 2015 by real estate website

“I’m not surprised,” resident Cathy Brownstone, who has called one Sacramento’s oldest communities home for the past right years, said Friday morning.

The website gave the community it’s ranking based on its proximity to good schools in the downtown area as well as the fact it is very similar to the famous Land Park community in Sacramento, however with homes that ate slightly cheaper.

The website says the median home price in Curtis Park is $381,000.

As it has over the decades Curtis Park continues to grow and change with the development of new homes and a commercial area coming soon.

“I grew up in this area and I miss how it used to be. There were a lot more kids in this neighborhood when I was growing up, but now it’s mostly just professionals,” resident Bud Worley said.

Another California community topped the list. The San Diego community of El Cerrito came in first place.
