The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that two members of the Hells Angels were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Brandon Gann, 31, and David Splan, 42, are suspected of killing Daniel Martinez on Aug. 15, 2011.

Martinez was found shot on Ideal Parkway in Manteca after deputies responded to reports of gunfire. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person was shot, but survived.

Investigators say witnesses saw both victims standing near motorcycles when a white, “compact SUV” rammed one of the bikes. Both men inside the SUV reportedly got out and started beating Martinez and the other victim. At some point, detectives say, one of the men grabbed a gun from the SUV and shot at Martinez and the other man.

The men from the SUV were later identified by investigators and Gann and Splan.
