ELK GROVE —

Early Saturday morning around 3:50 a.m. a drunk driver caused a fatal accident killing one and injuring two others.

Jian Saeteurn, 34, was driving a 2004 Infinity in the number two lane on SR-99 northbound just north of Stockton Blvd. when he rear ended Rajendra Parsad, 58, in a 2006 Dodge.

The impact caused Parsad to veer across the northbound traffic lanes through the guard rail along the east roadway edge before colliding into the concrete pillar of Stockton Blvd over-crossing.

A 49-year-old female passenger in Parsad’s vehicle suffered fatal injuries. Parsad suffered major injuries and a 26-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries.

Saeteurn, after crashing into a chain link fence, fled the scene and was later located at his residence.

He was booked into the Sacramento County Jail for felony DUI, felony hit and run, and vehicular manslaughter charges.

The South Sacramento CHP is still gathering information and seeking witnesses. If you have any information call (916) 681-2300.
