Firefighters were called to the Oak Plains Masonic Lodge along Becerra Way, near Marconi just after midnight for a rubbish fire.

They found a dog who had been burned alive. The animal was inside a locked crate. The dog did not make it.

Investigators have not released any information about a possible suspect at this time.
