Christine Ann Cooper, 62, allegedly embezzled the money over a nine year period, according to investigators.

As the account trustee, Cooper allegedly wrote checks to herself from the accounts and falsified account statements to conceal the alleged theft, police said.

Cooper was arrested at her workplace without incident and transported to the Placer County Jail.

Cooper was booked on charges of elder abuse and theft from an elder, embezzlement and forgery.
