Fire crews respond to fire near packaging plant in Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. (KTXL) — Fire officials say there is a fire burning near a packaging plant in Stockton. 

According to officials, firefighters responded to the OG Packing and Cold Storage Company in the area of Beyer Lane around 7 p.m.

“The fire has been completely put out except for some hot spots here and there. The fire took place in a lot on the western edge of the property that had a bunch of empty plastic storage bins,” said Josh Capper, interim fire chief for Lathrop Manteca Fire District. “The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation.”

No structures were damaged and there were no injuries.
