ROCKLIN—

Police have arrested a former Rocklin High School track coach on charges he had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student.

Mark Bevan, 21, was arrested after detectives got information on Monday that he had been carrying on an inappropriate relationship with a teen girl, according to a media release from the Rocklin Police Department.

The relationship had been ongoing for about a month, police say. The two had also been sexting each other, although police aren’t sure as for how long.

Bevan, who was a walk-on assistant track coach at Rocklin High School, was arrested early Tuesday morning and is being held on $100,000 bail at Placer County Jail. He now faces at least six charges related to the illicit relationship.
