Four California State Prison-Sacramento employees were hurt Thursday morning in an apparent inmate attack, according to the Department of Corrections.

Prison officials say Tryone Owens, 32, pushed a medication cart into a psychiatric technician and knocked her to the ground before jumping on a second technician and hitting him in the face.

Two correctional officers were able to restrain Ownes but were also injured, investigators said.

All four staffers were treated at a hospital and released.

Owens has been in prison since Dec. 31, 2007 for second-degree robbery. In 2010, he was convicted on manufacturing a weapon in prison.
