A body was found in a freezer in an abandoned auto shop, according to Ceres Police.

The body was discovered by the building’s landlord Monday afternoon on East Whitmore Avenue, under a mile west of Highway 99.

UPDATE: Man Arrested in Connection with Body in Freezer

A man hired to tow cars away from the building found the freezer, and the body inside. The landlord and police were alerted.

Nearby businesses told FOX40 they had no idea anyone was even renting the space currently.

Investigators have not yet identified any specific details about the body, and have not officially ruled it a homicide.
