VINEYARD — A grass fire quickly spread 40 to 50 acres Monday afternoon in a field in the Vineyard area of South Sacramento.
Metro Fire crews were on scene, on Gerber Road near Bradshaw Road.
Officials said no homes were threatened.
It was not immediately known what started the fire.
