Edward and Aubrey Andrews recently added a new house, a new roommate and a new dog into their lives.

They were also expecting baby number two.

“This pregnancy’s been really hard on her,” Edward said. “It’s like all of that combined with some personal issues she has, it was just a lot for her. But I still feel she’s somewhere, like a shelter.”

Saturday, Edward told FOX40 he hadn’t seen his pregnant wife in a week.

A day after she drove away from their Sacramento home, her purse appeared on their doorstep.

“She had notebooks of letters saying a lot of different things that she left  to us,” Edward said.

Late Monday night, police found Aubrey’s car in a Walmart parking lot.

A dead woman was found inside.

As detectives identify the body and determine the cause of death, an investigation into Aubrey’s disappearance continues.

That includes a recent break-in at the Andrews’ home that Edward told FOX40 about Saturday night.

Neighbor Monroe Cash says police questioned his wife about it this week.

“If she noticed anything suspicious and she said ‘no’. He said, ‘There’s been a break in next door, so be careful,'” Cash said.

Cash called later to say his wife remembered hearing the couple fighting aggressively, on multiple occasions.

Court records indicate Aubrey placed a restraining order against Edward in May.

Edward’s family says they will no longer comment to the media about Aubrey.

Neighbors say people shouldn’t jump to conclusions.

“If someone is found dead in their car, that in itself is suspicious, but I wouldn’t speculate to say the husband did it,” Cash said. “We’re too often quick to jump to conclusions. Let the police do what they do they’ll find out.”
