A landlord-tenant issue apparently drove a man to chase another man around an Auburn home with a running chainsaw.

Marvin Daniels apparently owns the home, and was trying to get rid of his roommates, Gary Hayes and Tanya Duerksen.

Cops say Daniels didn’t exactly go about it the right way, and at one point had a running chainsaw in his hand as he chased the tenants down a hallway in the home.

After the tenant went inside a bedroom, Daniels reportedly went outside, took the screen off the bedroom window and stuck the chainsaw inside.

Hayes told FOX40 that Daniels had been acting out for a few weeks. Daniels owns nine chainsaws, one of which is in the hands of police.

“I’ve never seen him cut any wood, though,” said Hayes.

Daniels was arrested and booked into the Placer County Jail for charges of exhibiting a deadly weapon and making threats.
