LINCOLN -- A local MMA fighter has been arrested on multiple drug and weapons charges.
A Placer County drug task force served a search warrant at Christopher Sheridan’s home that turned up marijuana grows, assault weapons and prescription drugs, detectives said.
The seven-foot-high fence surrounding Sheridan’s Lincoln property was covering up multiple illegal drug operations, including 315 indoor and 100 outdoor marijuana plants, pounds of processed marijuana and evidence of a honey oil lab, according to the task force.
Sheridan also had heavy-duty weaponry, according to law enforcement, including an AR-15 style rifle with an improvised grenade launcher attached. Investigators also reported finding $20,000 cash, steroids and Xanax.
The 32-year-old trained with MMA Gold Fight Club in the past. However, the owner tells FOX40, Sheridan had been battling multiple injuries and had not been a member for the past year. Online fight records list his last fight in 2014.
