Two would-be dog-nappers tried to take the animal from a man jogging in Stockton.

Thursday afternoon, a 19-year-old man was jogging with his 10-month-old dog when a grey Toyota 4-Runner pulled up in front of him.

It happened near Quail Lakes and Alexandria Place.

A man got out of the Toyota and yelled at the teenager to give him the dog. The victim pushed the man, sending him to the ground.

The woman driving the Toyota then got out, and tried to grab the dog, when the animal bit her.

The suspect couple took off in their car.
