SACRAMENTO–
A driver was seriously hurt late Wednesday in a fiery crash along Fruitridge Road.
Police say a Toyota collided with a truck shortly before 11 p.m. on Fruitridge at Del Norte Boulevard, leaving one car on its side and the other crumpled against a fence.
The driver of the Toyota was able to escape his car before it caught fire. The man in the other car was pinned inside. Crews couldn’t immediately rescue the man because of the intensity of the fire nearby.
His condition was unknown Thursday morning.
