Man Shot Dead Outside of Arden-Arcade Gas Station

Authorities are investigating the murder of a man near a Arden-Arcade gas station late Saturday night.

According to a media release from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, deputies showed up to a gas station near El Camino and Morse Avenues around 11:30 p.m. after getting a report about shots fired.

At the scene, deputies soon found that a man in his 30’s lying on the ground just outside of a store. Deputies say the man had a gunshot wound to his upper body.

In spite of life-saving efforts from the responding deputies, the man was soon pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s identity has not been released by authorities as of Sunday.

Detectives are now trying to sort out what led up to the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (916) 874-5115.
