MODESTO --

Hundreds gathered at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto to remember 3 of the victims killed in last months quintuple homicide on Nob Hill Court.

A public memorial service was held for 6-year-old Elizabeth Ripley, two-month-old Rachel Martinez and their mother Dr. Amanda Crews.

"They were all amazing people in their own right," said Kimberly Crews, the twin sister of Amanda Crews. "Ever since we were little, 10 or 11, she wanted to be a doctor."

As a trial date approaches for Martin Martinez, the man accused of killing Crews, Elizabeth and his own daughter Rachel, Kim Crews said she'll be in court every day to represent her sister and two nieces.

"I want him to see my face, and I want him to see her face in my face," Kim Crews told a Modesto Bee pool reporter.
