A three-alarm fire happened late last night in Modesto, damaging homes and injuring two adults and one child.

Modesto Fire Department was dispatched to a working structure fire at 10:34 p.m. on Counts Court. First Arriving crews reported a garage and a boat on fire with homes on either side being threatened.

One adult female suffered third degree burns on her arm, and one child suffered from smoke inhalation. Both patients were transported to area hospitals. One other patient had smoke inhalation but refused transport to a hospital.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
