YOLO, Calif. (KTXL) — The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office said deputies confirmed a mountain lion sighting around 2:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to the sheriff’s office’s Twitter account, the animal was seen near County Road 98 and County Road 17 and fled west after deputies spotted it.

The sheriff’s office said Animal Services and Fish and Game were notified of the mountain lion’s presence.
