A mountain lion gave Kaiser security a scare Tuesday morning in Roseville.

Just after 2 a.m., Roseville Police said they got a call from Kaiser security guards to report a mountain lion sighting in their parking lot along Roseville Parkway. The business park contains Kaiser medical offices, in addition to other businesses.

About 20 minutes later, a homeowner called police to say a mountain lion crossed their driveway. The home is less than a mile from Kaiser.

Roseville Police and Placer County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the calls, but did not find the mountain lion.

The sightings are near Miners Ravine and occasionally there are mountain lions in the area.
