STOCKTON, Calif. (KTXL) — A man is suspected of fatally shooting one woman and wounding two others Friday in Stockton before turning the gun on himself.
Stockton police say officers were called to South Sutter Street, near East Church Street, around 2:40 p.m. after reports of a shooting at a home.
Three women had been shot inside, according to police. A 69-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A 46-year-old woman and a 47-year-old woman were hospitalized but are expected to survive.
Police say after shooting the women, the 48-year-old suspect shot himself. By Friday night, he was still in critical condition at the hospital.
Stockton police say the shooting occurred during a family disturbance. They could not provide any additional details or report the identities of the victims or the suspect.
