Officials Evacuate Area South of Lake Berryessa as Wildfire Burns

NAPA COUNTY — A wildfire is burning just south of Lake Berryessa in Napa County.

Cal Fire is responding to the Canyon Fire, which has reached 64 acres in the area of Highway 128 at Wragg Canyon Road. It was 65% contained by Tuesday afternoon.

Solano County Office of Emergency Services reports Stebbins Cold Canyon Reserve was evacuated out of precaution. By Tuesday, residents with identification were told they could return to their homes.

The highway has been closed to all traffic between the dam and Markley Cove. It is expected to reopen by 7 p.m. Tuesday.
