Oroville Woman Shot in ‘Facial Area’; Suspect Arrested

OROVILLE —

An Oroville woman is in the hospital after being shot in the “facial area,” according to the Oroville Police Department.

Officers received a 911 call at 4:28 p.m. of a person that had been shot in the 1600 block of Elgin Street. When they arrived, officers located a woman with a gunshot wound “to her facial area.” The woman was transported to Enloe Hospital and later flown to another hospital for her injuries.

The suspect, 30-year-old Vincent Thomas Brown was later arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and for tampering with evidence.
