VACAVILLE-

Vacaville Police say a concerned citizen interrupted an alleged sexual assault and helped officers catch the suspect.

The man reportedly saw a woman walking along East Monte Vista Avenue near Browns Valley Road. She appeared to not be able to care for herself, investigators said.

Police say the man lost sight of the woman when another man, later identified as 25-year-old Miguel Garcia, approached her. Soon after, Vacaville Police got a report of a man chasing another man.

Detectives say the man interrupted a sexual assault and began chasing the suspect.

When police arrived, investigators say the man helped officers find and arrest Garcia.
