Police Find 200 Pot Plants, Emaciated Dog in Raid

RIPON-

Ripon Police say more than 200 pot plants, an emaciated dog, some meth and a stolen gun were found Friday during a raid at a home on Goodwin Drive.

Plants were found outside the home, as well as in the home’s basement, police said.

The dog is said to be doing much better.

Police arrested two men. Officers say one tried to run and was found in a nearby orchard. The other was found at a business in the area.

Miguel Angel Lopez, 42, was booked into jail on charges of animal cruelty, possession of marijuana for sale, marijuana cultivation and possession of stolen property.

Apolinar Ramirez-Para, 43, was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, possession of marijuana for sale, marijuana cultivation and possession of stolen property.
