Police: Stockton Man Threatens to Kill Girlfriend, Shoots Her Once

STOCKTON-

Police arrested a man for shooting and threatening to kill his girlfriend on Tuesday.

According to the Stockton Police Department, a woman walked into Dameron Hospital suffering from a single gunshot wound. She said she was arguing with her boyfriend, when he threatened to kill her and shot her once.

Police identified the suspect as James Wheeler, 40,  and headed to his last known location on West Acacia Street, two blocks east of the hospital. Police watched the house until the suspect got into his car. They then pulled him over and took him into custody.

Police recovered the gun they believe he used to shoot the woman from his car.
