‘Project Lifesaver’ Used to Help Find Missing People

Police in Folsom are using technology they call “Project Lifesaver” to help find missing people.

It’s a transmitter that uses radio frequencies to track participants and is designed for people at risk of wandering away and not being able to find their way back.

The program was first introduced to the Folsom Police Department in 2017, and so far 11 people have signed up.
