(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Rancho Cordova that involved law enforcement on Monday morning.

The agency said it received a call of a woman allegedly holding a knife and trying to break into a home Monday morning in the area of Malaga Way and La Loma Drive.

An official with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said the woman was located inside a vehicle in the driveway of a nearby residence.

That’s when two deputies fired their weapons, officials said.

The suspect drove away, leading officials on a short pursuit that ended near Folsom Blvd. and Routier Road.

Officials detained the woman, who had an injury, although it was unclear if the injury was from the shooting.

A spokesperson with the sheriff’s office said all “officers are ok.”
