Central Valley skiers rejoice! Tuolumne County’s Dodge Ridge ski area is finally opening its doors, thanks to recent winter storm.

The resort is reporting that, over the past week, about 51’’ of snow fell at the summit, while 20-24’’ fell in the mid-mountain range. About a foot of new snowfall fell at the base.

In all, the resort’s chairs 5, 7, 8 and T Bar-643 will be operating. Only limited beginner terrain will be available, the resort notes, as the lifts in operation are for upper mountain intermediate to advanced skiers.

If you’re interested in heading out, the resort will be opening Thursday at 10 a.m. For more information, head to their website-
