Roseville police officers arrested Anthony Madderra, 21, of Roseville, on Tuesday on suspicion of contacting a minor with the intent of committing a sex crime, using a minor to create obscene material and possessing that material.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tipped off the Roseville Police Department, saying an adult Facebook user in Roseville was suspected of illegal activity.

An investigation led officers to Madderra, who police say allegedly contacted two underage girls on Facebook — one girl in Oklahoma, one from the greater Sacramento region — and asked them to send pornographic images of themselves.

Madderra is booked into the Placer County Jail on $100,000 bail.

Anyone who knows of any underage girls who have been contacted in a similar fashion or who have any other information that could help with the case is asked to call the Roseville Police Department at (916)774-5070.
