(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office responded to two separate stabbings on Wednesday night that put two men in the hospital
Deputies first responded to a convenience store on Auburn Boulevard at around 7:45 p.m. where an employee had been stabbed in the chest.
The employee was taken to the hospital after deputies arrived on scene and is expected to survive.
A second stabbing took place along Watt Avenue at around 11:45 p.m. where a group of 70 men were fighting outside.
Deputies received a call from a family member of one of the men involved in the fight and said he had been stabbed in the head with a screwdriver and that the suspect had left the area.
Life-saving measures were performed on the man until Sacramento Metro Fire Department personnel arrived and transported the man to an area hospital.
The man is expected to survive and deputies learned that the victim and suspect knew each other.
